The fall equinox is one of the most powerful moments of the year — a natural pause between seasons when light and dark hold equal ground. It's a threshold worth marking intentionally, and the inspiration behind everything we've built into this retreat.

This is a three-day, two-night experience for women who are ready to step away from the demands of everyday life and return to themselves.

Balance: The equinox asks us to pause. We'll honor that with an evening letting-go ceremony around the fire — a ritual to release what's no longer serving you and create space for what's next. Yoga, breathwork, and time in nature hold the rhythm of each day.

Move: Movement is at the heart of what we do. We'll strength train together, hike San Juan Island's stunning landscape, and dip in the ocean — building the kind of physical confidence that follows you home.

Nourish: Chef Juels prepares lunch and dinner each day — seasonal, farm-to-table, and deeply satisfying. Leave the planning and decision-making at home. We'll also spend time learning about macros and how to eat in a way that genuinely fuels your body — practical nutrition knowledge you can take home and actually use. Your only job is to show up and be present.

Connect: There is something that happens when women gather with intention. Woven throughout the weekend are moments for reflection, honest conversation, and the kind of connection that stays with you long after you've returned home.

Our retreat is located on the beautiful and tranquil San Juan Island, WA. Where pristine natural beauty meets charming coastal living. Nestled in the heart of the Salish Sea, this enchanting island invites you to unwind, explore, and reconnect with nature in an idyllic Pacific Northwest setting.

Saltwater Farm is the perfect destination to get away from it all. The Inn at Saltwater Farm is a modern, Scandinavian-style, boutique inn situated on 162 wild and beautiful acres just outside the town of Friday Harbor. Escape to your separate and private guesthouse with breathtaking views, modern amenities, and miles of trails, gardens, and natural beauty to explore.

    Lisa Bush is a physician assistant, wellness educator, and retreat host focused on helping women build resilience, strength, and sustainable health. Drawing from her background in healthcare and her own journey through burnout, Lisa blends science-based wellness practices with movement, nature, and reflection to support true whole-person care. Through her retreats and educational work, she helps women reconnect with their bodies, protect their healthspan, and design lives that feel aligned and fulfilling.

    With a deep passion for health and fitness, my 20 years in corporate healthcare left me wanting to help people truly optimize their health instead of turning to pharmaceuticals or surgery. Leveraging my extensive experience, I co-founded Island Strength and Movement alongside my husband, a venture that reflects our shared commitment to empowering individuals through physical activity and holistic wellness practices. I got certified as a group exercise instructor and love to teach classes focused on building strength and resilience. Most recently I became certified as an Integrated Nutrition Health Coach and provide actionable guidance to help people optimize their health and thrive. I reside with my husband and triplet boys in the charming community of Friday Harbor.
